Finance Minister Participates in Asia Bank Meeting in South Korea

Khartoum- sudan vision -The Minister of Finance, Mohamed Osman Al Rikabi, and Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan (CBOS) Hazim Abdel-Gadir participate in the second annual

meeting of the council of governors of Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), held in South Korea.
The meeting, which was inaugurated by President of South Korea Moon Jae, is held during the period June 16-18.
Sudan is considered as one of the countries contributing to the capital of the bank among 80 states from Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia and Latin America.
The Minister of Finance and CBOS Governor met on the sidelines of the meeting with the President of AIIB and discussed the fields to which the bank can contribute in Sudan, where the bank agreed to extend technical aid to Sudan in various fields.
The Asia Bank President welcomed invitation extended to him to visit Sudan, pointing out that he would make the visit during his expected tour of a number of African countries.
The bank focuses on development of the productive sectors and projects that constitute the pillars of sustainable development such as energy, roads and bridges and dams.
