Al-Basher Arrives in Addis Ababa for AU Summit
January/28 | am:11:11 / No Comments 300 viewsPresident of the Republic, Field Marshal, Omer Al-Basher arrived, Saturday, in Addis Ababa to participate in the 30th AU Summit for the Leaders and Heads of States of the AU Governments which is scheduled to be convened during Jan.28-29 .
President Al-Basher and the accompanied delegation was received, at the airport by the AU and the Ethiopian government officials, Foreign Minister, Ibrahim Ghandour and the Sudan’s Ambassador to Addis Ababa .
The President, on the sidelines of the Summit, is expected to meet a number African Presidents and Heads of regional organizations to discuss the bilateral relations and international and regional issues that concern the African continent .
Al-Basher’s participation in the summit comes in the context of Sudan’s keenness to strengthen relations with all the African countries and participate effectively, in the efforts being exerted to support joint African mechanism in favor of the African people .
