Sudan Partakes in Sustainable Blue Economy Conference in Nairobi
November/28 | pm:12:44 / No Comments 180 viewsSudan is participating in tthe sessions of Sustainbale Blue Economy Conference being held in Nairobi, Kenya by a delegation led by the State Minister at the Ministy of Finance and Economic Plaining, Dr Musalam Ahmed Al-Ameer.
Over10,000 participants from different countries of the world are taking part in the conference which will last for three days to discuss ways to boost the concepts of economic development through the optimum use of water resources.
Dr. Musalam pointed in his address to the conference to the damaging impacts of climate change on the Red Sea’s 750km-long coast in Sudan due to increase of world climate warm, stressing that Sudan supports concept of blue economy through a package of policies.
He added that Sudan’s needs for the coming period are represented in financial, technological support as well as enhancing to capacities for providing sustainable services for blue economy.
It is to be noted that the Keyan President , Uhuru Kenyatta, has inaugurated the Conference on Monday, in presence of 11 presidents and heads of state, mostl of them from African countries, besides experts from different parts of the world in addition to representatives of private sectors, academic civil society organizations and media men.
