Two Republican Decrees Tabled Before National Legislature
December/31 | am:9:38 / No Comments 134 viewsThe Minister of Justice, Dr Mohamed Ahmed Salim, has tabled before sitting of the National Legislature which was chaired by its Chairman, Professor Ibrahim Ahmed Omer on Sunday,two Republican Decrees on extension of the state of emergency in States of Kassala and North Kordofan for six months .
The minister said that the reasons led to declaration of state of emergency in Kassala and North Kordofan States are still existing, affirming the importance of endorsement of the two decrees to achieve the aspired goals and to maintain the security and public safety.
He attributed declaration of state of emergency in North Kordofan to disarmament and preventing transfer of weapons to unruly groups as well as to deal with security threats, disarmament and the combating smuggling, human trafficking and drugs sin Kassala State, saying these reasons adversely affect the homelan and the people a amtter that necessitated imposition of state of emergency to return the situation to normalcy.
He hoped that the reasons that led to state of emergency in the two states would disappear in the next year and that our country will surpass the economic difficulties .
It is noteworthy that the National Legislature has referred the two republican decrees to an emergency committee for further studying.
