Sadig Al-Mahdi calls to hold national economic conference
January/26 | pm:1:01 / No Comments 218 viewsThe leader of the National Umma Party (NUP), Sadiq al-Mahdi has called to hold a national economic conference includes experts from home and abroad, to solve current economy crisis in Sudan ,calling to apply urgent procedures to stop terrible deterioration of the exchange rate ,besides reforming of the banking system .
He said ,while addressing the mass gathering at the Mosque of Khalifa Mahdi, Omdurman, that the cause of the economic downturn is excessive spending, decreased agricultural and industrial production, weak investment, formation of a private sector that has become an entry point for institutional corruption, making Sudan classified among the ten corrupt countries.
He added that this situation requires holding a national economic conference to agree on the diagnosis and then agree on fifteen points, which are urgent measures to stop the financial, monetary and living deterioration, whatever the political costs.
