Aila Issues Decision on Southern Port
March/12 | pm:12:06 / No Comments 123 viewsThe National Prime Minister, Dr. Mohamed Tahir Aila, issued a decision rendering the clearance of commercial containers shall be exclusive at the Southern Harbor at the Red Sea and Soba Containers Station in Khartoum.
The decision stipulated that the other containers’ stations in the country in the states shall be assigned for clearing personal commodities only, besides suspension of work in licenses for the neglected commodities at the Sea Ports Corporation to any bodies.
The decision has cancelled all the former licenses relating to non-cleared commodities at the port and selling them in a public auction in accordance with the Customs Law and other provisions, and in coordination between the Sea Ports Corporation and the Customs Administration.
The decision has directed the Ministries of Interior, Finance and Economic Planning, transport and Physical Development and other concerned bodies to adopting the measures for implementing this decision.
