Al-Bashir court hears to witnesses of the indictment

The court at the Judicial and Legal Training Institute in the suburb of Arquit continued to hear the case against former President Omar al-Bashir, in which he faces charges related to possession of foreign currency and local currency in excess of the number set by the law and seized inside his residence.
The court’s judge, Maulana Sadiq al-Faki, listened to the witness of the first indictment (prosecutor). Who turned the file to court.
The court also heard the second witness, a major in the armed forces, who supervised the counting of the amount of the charge and verified it, as well as hearing the third witness, an employee of Omdurman National Bank. The Armed Forces was entrusted with the task of counting the exact amount and verifying the the figures seized by the former president.
During the hearing, the defense defendant demanded his release by guarantee and the court judge subjected the request by submitting it through his office to the judicial authority for consideration.
The court will continue to hold hearings next Saturday to hear two witnesses belonging to the armed forces.
