Khartoum, Dec. 4 (SUNA) – The Central Bank of Sudan (CBOS) is due to host the technical workshop on the development of banking services at the Islamic banking and financial institutions during 6-8 of the current December at Corinthia Hotel. The workshop is to be organized by the General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI).
Nearly 60 participants from the Central Bank of Sudan and financial institutions in Sudan will take part in the workshop as well as the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Turkey and Nigeria.
The workshop targeted introduction of concepts and principles for the development of Islamic financing products besides enabling participants to understand the mechanisms, operations and the impediments encountering Islamic-based financial products development.
It is to be recalled that a number of the international organizations concerning with the Islamic banking choose Sudan to organize their different activities for its leading and distinguishing role in the Islamization of banking system as it is the unique state at the global level which adopts pure Islamic financial regime a matter that make Sudan experience as rich experience to be followed by the most of international forums concerned with the Islamic banking.
