Court for Trial of Al-Bashir Hears Statements of Inquirer and Informer
August/20 | am:8:59 / No Comments 159 viewsThe special court for trial of the former president Omer Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir, chaired by Judge Al-Saddiq Abdul-Rahman Al-Toam, and heard statements of the inquirer and the informer and given opportunity for discussion of the prosecution representative and questions raised by the defense representative.
In a press statement after the court’s sitting the defense representative, Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir, expressed his satisfaction on progress of the trial in favor of Al-Bashir.
He referred to absence of new charges, stating that referring the first symbol to trial means that there shall be adherence to the rule of law, and considered this trial as a message, not only to the fallen government, but also to the coming government that no one is above law.
He said that the prosecution case will be continued in the coming sitting on next Saturday.
