Foreign Minister Describes Meeting between Hamdok and President Al-Sisi as Successful
September/19 | am:8:56 / No Comments 137 viewsThe Minister of Foreign Affairs, Asma Mohamed Abdalla, has described as successful the meeting between the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdok, and the President of Egypt, Abdul-Fattah Al-Sisi, at Al-Ittahadia Palace.
She said that the meeting between Dr. Hamdok and Al-Sisi was fruitful and successful, indicating that the meeting has reviewed the relations between the two countries and issues of mutual concern.
The Foreign Minister indicated that the meeting between Dr. Hamdok and the Egyptian President has tackled the situation in Sudan after success of the revolution and start of the transitional period.
She said that Dr. Hamdok acquainted President Al-Sisi on the political developments in Sudan and the challenges facing the country, top of them are the removing of Sudan name from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, the writing off of Sudan external debts and the endeavors to realize inclusive and just peace in the country.
She added that Dr. Hamdok and President Al-Sisi stressed the importance of boosting the economic cooperation between the two countries and enhancing the joint strategic projects between Khartoum and Cairo.
