Prosecutor General Receives statistics of the crimes of Darfur

He lauded the performance of the Office during the previous period, pointing out that it is necessary to strengthen work to combat impunity in the light of the significant security improvement experienced by the situation in the Darfur states after the success of the campaign to collect weapons.
The reports included the work of the Office in spreading the values of justice, spreading security, combating impunity for the perpetrators of crimes in the Darfur states, the criminal and security situation, the functioning of the prosecution and the obligations of the rule of law in Darfur entrusted to the Public Prosecution.
Darfur Crimes General Prosecutor, Maulana Al-Fateh Tayfur, has outlined that the security situations In Darfurhave been greatly improved and that the total number of cases referred to the Court reached 55, 13 were dismissed and the remaining casess are still pending in the concerned courts.
