Security Service Denies Existence of Egyptian Opposition in Sudan
February/26 | pm:12:50 / No Comments 141 viewsDirector of the Press and Information Department of the Security and Intelligence Service, Mohamed Hamid Tabidi, has denied existence of any Egyptian opposition elements in Sudan that endanger the Egyptian security.
Tabidi confirmed that the forum on the Sudanese – Egyptian Relations, organized by the International Center for African Studies, and affirmed that the Sudanese authorities are dealing seriously with any information relating to threat to the Egyptian security.
He referred to the existence of a great political will in the two countries to solve the outstanding issues between them, pointing to the project of electricity power linking as the biggest evidence for the cooperation between Sudan and Egypt.
Tabidi has asserted existence of people’s joint activities between the two countries, referring to the role of the media in this connection.
Meanwhile, the General Consul of Egypt to Sudan, Ahmed Adli, stated that the Egyptian conscience wants unity, security and stability to prevail in Sudan.
He called on the media in Sudan and Egypt to live up to their role in informing about the importance of the strategic relations between the two countries.
He pointed to the importance of establishing a strong economic and trade exchange between Sudan and Egypt.
