Osama Faisal: We have made great strides with the World Bank in indicators of business performance

The State Minister at the Ministry of Investment Osama Faisal has affirmed the ministry’s determination to continue consultations with the states in order to ensure smooth flow of investment into the country without any obstacles.
He announced that the performance index through the Sudanese Committee and the World Bank, which includes 10 points on the climate and the investment environment, has made great strides.
This came when Faisal addressed Tuesday the conclusion of the activities of the Consultative Forum on Investment Issues in the Center and the States organized by the Ministry of Investment at the Higher Academy for Security and Strategic Studies. He said that the World Bank praised the concern Sudan has been given, at the highest level, to the business performance index, pointing out that the specialized technical committees have completed their tasks in accordance to the Word Bank’s document on this regard. He stressed the importance of continuing the discussion on the investment issues in the country, particularly on the issues not addressed by the Forum.
The minister described the forum as an importance in terms of timing and the issues it discussed basing on the importance of investment as a cornerstone of economic development and mobilization of resources in the country, announcing formation of a joint committee including all the relevant bodies to follow up the forum recommendations
