Kamal Abdul-Maarouf stresses the importance and strategy of the relationship with the United States of America and Sudan’s keenness to normalize and develop it in a direction that serves the common interests between the two countries in the framework of human values and constructive cooperation and mutual respect.
This came when he received in his office Lt. Col. Sean Corcoran, the new US military attaché who presented his credentials to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, replacing former military attaché Adam Kordish.
The Joint Chief of Staff praised the efforts of the previous annex in the development of relations between the two countries in the fields of military cooperation, referring to his visit to Washington in October last year which he said was an opportunity that opened wide scope for the development of relations and exchange of visits. Sudan is a member of the list of state sponsors of terrorism.
