Turkey expresses desire to invest in animal resources in Sudan

The Minister of Animal Resources Beshara Juma Aror has discussed with the visiting Turkish Minister of Agriculture Bakri Pak Demerli ways to activate bilateral agreements and memorandums of understanding agreed upon by Presidents Omar al-Bashir and Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The two sides discussed how to benefit from the animal resources and investment in its various fields and how to establish an integrated farm for the breeding of animals desired by Turkey and the slaughter of exports in order to achieve the highest production of meat exports to Turkey and other countries. Aror said that his ministry would pay Turkey great attention to find its share in the strategic plan to set up 30 integrated complexes to promote and develop animal exports to attract more foreign, African and Arab investment, announcing the formation of technical committees on both sides. For his part, the Turkish Minister of Agriculture stressed the importance of cooperation and strengthening of the relations between his country and Sudan, praising the distinguished relations between the two leaderships of the two countries, pointing out to the need to develop them in economic fields to open the horizons of investment cooperation in the fields of animal resources. The Turkish minister expressed his country’s desire to invest in the fields of animal resources to benefit from the Sudan capabilities in this field, pointing out that there is a positive trend to benefit from animal resources and cooperation with the ministry in the field of animal registration and disease control through the transfer of experiences and technologies of Turkey to Sudan, stressing the removal of obstacles facing the trade of animal and meat, Stressing the elimination of obstacles to animal and meat trade. He revealed that the visit came within the context of strengthening cooperation frameworks and activating the agreements between Sudan and Turkey, emphasizing his government’s support for the establishment of joint banks and the opening of branches of Turkish banks in Sudan to facilitate the financial issues for the importance this matter in developing trade and facilitating Turkish investment in Sudan.
