Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture underlines cooperation with France
October/03 | am:10:30 / No Comments 136 viewsThe Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources Engineer Babiker Osman has affirmed the openness of Sudan to cooperation with France, especially after the visit of Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdok to France. This came during a meeting at his office in the ministry with the delegation of the Department of Treasury and the French Development Agency, where the meeting discussed the requirements for the development of agriculture in the coming period, including the modern technologies in the field of agriculture, manufacturing of agricultural inputs in Sudan and achievement of the added value to the agricultural products to be competitive in the French and European markets. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture urged the French to support training in the agricultural sector and the Agricultural Research Corporation with modern technologies, stressing that the agricultural sector is the leading sector in Sudan and needs technical support at this stage from the world, particularly after the Prime Minister’s recent visit to France, calling on France to help Sudan to enable it to increase production, productivity and food security for the world. For his part, the French side pledged to contact the French embassy and the concerned parties to determine the implementation priorities.
